The first rays of the Sunset Days 2022-05-30

On the three weekends of September 2014 (13-14; 20-21; 27-28), the Southwest Days will be held for the first time with funding from the Leader grant. As a result of the joint collaboration of Szakony and Zsira, it awaits its guests with a number of programs.

The Napnyugat Tourist Association was founded in 2011 to represent the 10 settlements of the Alpokalja microregion that still have unexploited tourist treasures, with the aim of promoting and revealing the values of our region to the hitherto uninitiated.

Organized by the association, with the support of the Alpokalja-Ikva Mente Leader Association, within the framework of the "Development of bicycle rest areas in Alpokalja" project, the series of events called Napnyugati Days will be held on the weekends of September 2014 with the intention of creating a tradition. Gyalóka, Nagycenk, Répcevis, Sopronkövesd, Szakony and Zsira, the hosts of the event, in addition to high-quality and diverse programs, offer their natural resources, built heritage, traditions and hospitality to those coming to the region.

The spirit of Napnyugati Days is determined by the needs of families and those looking for an active vacation, thanks to which our range of events covers a colorful and wide palette. For those who want to indulge in culinary delights, we offer a program called "Table of Local Flavors" that invites local products to be served on the table. Thanks to the winegrowers of the region, we can also taste the harvest whirlwind, we can also taste the curiosities of the pumpkin and nut festival.

We want even the smallest children to find interesting and developing programs for them, we welcome them with puppet shows, crafts, playhouses and the mysterious magic of "Fairytaleland". Those who want to do sports, from professionals to amateurs to the baby age group, can test themselves in bicycle races.

During our tours, you can not only admire the natural values of the area, but also botanical curiosities, local stories, and historical threads enrich the eye-catching, once inaccessible routes, which you can return to everyday life recharged after walking. In addition, culture lovers are entertained by numerous historical and fine art exhibitions, light and classical music concerts.
